If you’re trying to follow a strict low calorie diet, or just want to incorporate more low calorie meals, it doesn’t mean you have to kick your curry habit! Often, when you order from an Indian takeaway your curries will be swimming in oil with rich, heavy sauces. But I want to show you that you can achieve the same textures and even better flavours by following my simple recipes and meal ideas.
Low calorie Indian food is not just good for your cholesterol, it is full of super foods like high-protein pulses, as well as fragrant, antioxidant herbs and spices. It’s a great way to keep one eye on health and the other on full impact flavour. Trust me, the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive!
I love cooking with my family and I found the best way to teach my kids about healthy eating is to cook balanced meals with them. It’s fun to do and it (hopefully) means they take the ethos of healthy eating with them into adulthood!
