An easy to make, fresh salad of finely chopped summer vegetables.
Hari says
So simple yet so delicious, a Kachumbar salad isn't far off what you'd usually make in terms of shredding or cutting vegetables. But this one has an Indian twist of garam masala for an added warmth, as well as coriander for that heady, herby aroma. Try it with any starter from chicken wings to samosas - it will enhance them all.
- Ingredients
- Method
- 1 small red onion
- ½ cucumber
- 1 tomato
- Fresh coriander leaves
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp garam masala
Method
- Cut the onions, cucumber, tomato into a very fine dice and place into a bowl.
- Finely chop the coriander and place into the bowl.
- Squeeze in the lemon and sprinkle in the salt and garam masala - stir and serve.
Served with
A lovely fresh Indian salad that works beautifully as a side to any meal.
