I know what you are all thinking....those of you not used to an Indian breakfast will be thinking that's just a bit weird and those of you brought up on traditional aloo paranta (like me) will be saying that's just wrong, bacon in a parantha???
Well, this is a little speciality breakfast from my household - with a daughter who loves a bacon butty on a Saturday morning and a son who loves nothing more then Indian bread stuffed with spiced potatoes on a Saturday morning this has become a second filling that pleases them both.
The paneer is ground or grated and spiced with carom, garam masala to name a few spices and then some really smoky bacon strips are added and mixed together. This is then stuffed into a roti and cooked on a griddle or frying pan with a little butter smeared over it to crisp it up. All you need is a cup of hot chai.....Happy Days!
I love to have these with some spiced avocado yoghurt, some hot mango pickle and a sweet cup on hot chai.....good times!
