As well as my own monthly cookery classes in Surrey, you will also find me teaching at Kent or Abinger cookery schools. You will also find me cooking live on my app a couple times a month.
Based in the heart of the beautiful Surrey Hills, The Abinger Cookery School offers a wide range of both day and evening courses, corporate events, plus longer 1 and 2 week ‘chalet chef’ courses ideal for those wanting to spend a winter season in the Alps. Their varied courses have small classes and take place in one of their two newly fitted kitchens in a relaxed and friendly environment. Whether it’s your first experience in a kitchen or just looking to add to your repertoire, The Abinger has something for everyone.
For more details, please visit their website.
The Kent cookery school is based deep in the heart of kent, in the picturesque setting of the mersham le hatch estate, bordering the 190 acre deer park and 1000 year old woodland. The school was the first purpose built cookery school in Kent. Established in early 2011 and makes use of the old listed barn. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a vast array of dishes from fine French pastries to fresh pasta, with dedicated work stations for up to 10 people. We run a series of very different Indian lessons, check out their website for more details.
Join me on 29th September for an evening supper club where we will take a journey through India’s finest cuisine. I'll transport you to the mystical East with the Indian flavours and fragrances that I love. I’ll be serving a starter to show off the wonderful marinades used in the Punjabi tandoor with selection of three different murgh tikka bits. The main course will include a number of speciality dishes from South India, Prawns from the Malibar coastline to slow cooked Madras style lamb not to mention tangy okra cooked with dried mangoes with fragrant zafrani rice. Our journey ends in the homeland of all things sweet with a Bengali pudding of light steamed yoghurt served on a vibrant raspberry sauce.

To book one of my private Indian cooking classes, either fill in the form below to ask any questions and I will get in touch to discuss your requirements or make your booking here and I will get in touch to arrange a date and menu with you.
A typical one day class will begin with tea or coffee and an introduction to me, the session and the dishes. Each class is a hands on experience where you do all the cooking in an informal setting under my guidance so you have the opportunity to ask all your curry questions. The bespoke classes allow you to choose the dishes you want to cook and I will work with you to create a suitable menu.
We will sit and enjoy a relaxing lunch together made up of all the dishes you have cooked that morning including a well-deserved glass of wine.
After lunch I will take you on a detailed tour of the Indian spice tin in my Spice Masterclass where you have an open forum to talk about spices and how to use them. You will then put some of this knowledge to use in the afternoon session and use the processes discussed to make the final two dishes.
The day is finished with an Indian cookery demonstration from myself and creating a lovely little pudding for you to enjoy and we finish the session.
You will leave the cooking class with a printed booklet of the recipes we have cooked together, the dishes you have made, a Hari Ghotra Curry Kit and some new found inspiration and knowledge so you can cook with confidence.
For larger groups or events I am also happy to travel to you so please contact me for more information. If you would like to purchase this as a gift then I can also send you a gift voucher. I can then arrange the session directly with them.
