Indian Desserts
When you think of Indian food your mind may immediately go to thoughts of curry and savoury foods, but there are actually lots of Indian sweets and desserts originating from all over the country. Which is why people from West Bengal are known for having a sweet tooth (Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone but so am I!). Traditionally, you’d make Indian desserts to share with family and friends when they come to visit (and vice-versa), or give them as gifts. There’s also a special Indian dessert given out by the garanthi (priest) at the end of service at the temple.
From individual pudding pots to let-me-at-them sharers, you’ll be surprised how easy it is for you to prepare these yummy Indian sweet recipes. And if like me, you loooove chocolate, you’ll be happy to see some chocolatey recipes you can make to impress your friends or treat the family (if you manage not to devour them first, of course!).
