Indian Courses
One of the greatest things about planning Indian meals is that there are so many different dishes to choose from.
I often like to prepare a range of starters so that friends and family can mix it up and select their favourites. This isn’t to say that you’ll need to be slaving over a stove all day cooking a myriad of different things, but offering a few easy-to-prepare dishes is a great way to start a meal. Try serving vegetable Pakoras with a chopped salad and Poppadoms for a complementary mix of flavours and textures.
It can be fun for Indian courses to overlap. When you serve an entire Indian meal, don’t be shy to just put everything you’ve prepared in the centre of the table at the same time. When I have friends over for dinner I often serve the starters, mains and sides all at once. I find allowing people to help themselves and get involved is a great way to set the tone for a relaxing evening, and it ensures everyone can eat what they want, when they want!
