Cardamom Banana Lassi

Cardamom Flavoured Banana Yoghurt

A deliciously healthy way to use up your ripe, old bananas.

A different spin on the Indian lassi using ripe yellow bananas to flavour the yoghurt based drink and adding the delicate flavour of cardamom to finish it off.

  • Ingredients
  • Method
  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled
  • 4 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • splash of cold milk
  • 1 handful of ice cubes
  • Sprinkle of cardamom powder
  • sugar to taste, if required

Method

  1. Put the yoghurt, milk, bananas and ice into a blender and blitz until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a tumbler and sprinkle with some cardamom powder.

    I used really ripe bananas (totally black skins) in this recipe but really liked the look of the "dirty mango" lassi you also have listed.

    I did 4 bananas worth and added a couple of shots of spiced rum, in all seriousness it blew my guests away. You should try it and let me know what you think Hari :)
