Indian Sabji (Vegetable Sides)
India is a largely vegetarian country and as such the range of vegetable side dishes (or Sabji) available is vast and varied.
When I’m cooking with my family, I like to prepare a main meal using meat and serve a selection of Indian vegetable side dishes to complement it. If you fancy a buffet-style meal instead of a standalone main course, you could bake a plate of fluffy Naan breads and serve them up with several sides, so your friends and family can dig in as and when they want.
When you’re planning your Indian meal, why not prepare a whole selection of different aromatic rice dishes to complement each course? If I’m having friends and family over for dinner I like to cook a few side dishes for us to nibble on before we sit down to our meal.
You can follow my recipes online or even cook along with me over on my YouTube channel. I’ll take you through all the steps and help you create some beautiful dishes from start to finish!
