A crisp, cooling cucumber dip that is lovely with a starter but also a wonderful side for any main.
Hari says
A great cooling side for any Indian meal to help cool down a spicy dishes but also to ensure you have a balanced meal. There are may different ways to make your yoghurt a bit more exciting and this is just one of them. I also use this as a dip as well.
- Ingredients
- Method
- ½ cucumber (more if you want)
- 200ml low-fat natural set yoghurt (I also like to use Greek yoghurt)
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
Method
- Carefully grate the cucumber, leaving the skin on.
- Either using a cloth or just your hands, squeeze any excess liquid from the cucumber.
- Once it is drained place in a small bowl.
- Add the yoghurt and garam masala and stir the cucumber through.
- Sprinkle the chilli on top to serve.
