Using Mooli (White Radish) in Indian Cooking
The radish is a plant which has a edible white root that is sometimes used in cooking. The root has a crunchy, crisp texture with a hot and peppery flavour. They are mainly used raw in salads.
The most commonly used radish in Indian cooling is the mooli. This is a long white radish used in salads as well as being shredded and seasoned as a stuffing for parantha or fried breads. The larger radishes have a stronger nose tingling sensation a bit like horseradish.
